Description

This course is designed for those with around three years of language learning, and who can understand and use familiar words and simple phrases for real life scenarios. You should be able to introduce yourself or someone else, ask basic questions, and provide answers on home, family and surroundings. This course will develop your knowledge of the language to a high level.  

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who has approximately two years of French language learning. This course is the second part of the Improvers tier of learning French.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you should have approximately two years of language learning and you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning.

What you will learn
You will recall and expand vocabulary to talk about languages you speak, countries you’d like to visit, and holidays—past, present, and future. You’ll practise role-plays, asking and answering questions. You'll describe clothes, shopping preferences, and when/why you wear certain outfits. You'll also write and speak about holiday destinations, activities, and invitations, using various tenses and expressing opinions.

How you will learn
You will learn via practical exercises, presentations, group and pair activities and the completion of workbooks.

What will you need to bring
A notepad and a pen.

You will be assessed via practical activities, workbooks, group and pair activities and presentations.

You can enrol onto the next stage of the language programme.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
