Step into the world of Acting. This course is designed for beginners who are passionate about acting and want to develop their performance skills. Whether you dream of performing on stage or exploring acting as a hobby, this course provides a fun and supportive environment to build your confidence and discover the fundamentals of acting.
Through this course, you will::
- Introduction to acting techniques, including character development and improvisation.
- How to perform simple scenes, monologues, and dialogues.
- Gain an understanding of stagecraft, including blocking, timing, and voice projection.
- Explore the fundamentals of building and delivering a character.
- Develop your confidence in front of an audience and improve your communication skills.
Please note: The qualification you will earn from undertaking this programme of learning is the Gateway Level 1 Certificate in Progression.

This course is for anyone who is interested in the art of Acting, whether for purely personal enjoyment or for the purposes of developing a career.
Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introductory Course in Acting. You need at least a Level 1 qualification In Maths and English. You also need to be willing to act in front of other learners.
What you will learn
"You will learn basic acting techniques, learn how to build a character, learn how to analyse and break down a script, understand the differences between acting for stage and screen, increase confidence to perform on stage or screen, and learn how to act out plays and film scenes.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions, the completion of workbooks and practical exercises.

You will be assessed by the completion of workbooks and other formal documents, observation by your tutor and the formal recording of performances.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
