Description

Ensure you have the knowledge to work safely and confidently in food-related environments. This course is designed for individuals working or planning to work in the food industry, including catering, hospitality, and food retail. You'll learn essential food safety practices that help prevent foodbourne illnesses and ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
Through this course, you will:
- Understand the importance of food safety and hygiene in the food industry.
- Learn how to prevent contamination and manage food hazards.
- Master safe food handling practices and how to store, prepare, and serve food safely.
- Gain knowledge of personal hygiene standards for food handlers.
- Understand how to comply with food safety legislation and regulatory requirements.  

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in employment as a food handler working in a retail envirnment, or support a role in the workplace.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
