Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone interested in undertaking the Level 1 qualification in Art and Design. The purpose of this session is to determine if the Level 1 qualification is right for you at this present time.

Entry Requirements
You need at least a Level 1 qualification In Maths and English. If you do not possess these, your English needs to be of a good standard.

What you will learn
You will learn the basics of art and design, along with learning if the Level 1 course in Art and Design is right for you at this present time. You will be introduced to various artistic mediums, learn the basics of composition, and learn how to create exciting works of art from both imagination and real life. Your Maths and English will also be assessed, along with your existing knowledge of art and design.

How you will learn
You will learn via presentations, practical activities, workbooks, group and paired activities and group discussions.

What will you need to bring
A notepad and a pen.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical activities and workbooks.

Where next?
If successful, you can enrol onto the Level 1 in Art and Design.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
