Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning.
What you will learn
You will learn to understand what nutrition means and how to apply it in everyday life. You will explore the formation of the Eatwell Plate for both infants and adults, recognizing its importance in promoting balanced diets. The course will focus on the different nutritional needs at various life stages, particularly for infants, while also addressing the individual nutritional needs of adults. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of basic budgeting for managing food expenses.

You will learn via presentations, practical activities, workbooks, group and paired activities and group discussions.

A notepad and a pen.

You can progress onto the Level 2 Award in Food Safety.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
