Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in earning a qualification in art and design. You also need English and Maths of at least Level 1.
Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introductory Course in Art and Design. You also need at least a Level 1 Qualification in English and Maths. If you do not possess these, your English and Maths needs to be of a good standard.
What you will learn
You will learn the different aspects of art and design, as well as the experience you'll need to bring your ideas to life. The practical sessions will give you skills in drawing, painting, printmaking and other such mediums.
Through this course you will:

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises. You will be provided with e-learning lessons and resources that you can access both in the classroom and remotely at home. Being able to access these resources at home, will support your practice and improve your progression through the course.
What will you need to bring
A notepad and a pen.
How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via undertaking workbooks, practical assignments, presentations and other such methods.

You can progress to other creative subjects at the college, such as Graphic Design.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
