Description

Learn the essential tools and techniques of Photoshop to edit images, create stunning designs, and enhance your creative workflow. This beginner-friendly course covers everything from selections and layers to retouching and special effects, giving you the skills to work confidently in Photoshop.
Through this course, you will:
- Navigate and customize the workspace, evaluate images, and prepare artwork for screen and print.
- Use freehand and color-based selection tools to isolate and modify specific areas of an image.
- Correct camera faults, enhance colors, and apply selective adjustments for professional-quality edits.
- Combine images, text, and vector graphics, explore blending techniques, and manage layers efficiently.
- Use brush-based tools, cloning, and healing techniques alongside Photoshop's Generative AI tools for seamless edits.
- Apply blur, sharpening, liquify, and creative filters to enhance and transform images.
- Work on guided projects, get one-on-one trainer support, and refine your new skills.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop to create amazing digital content.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning. You also need to be able to use a computer effectively and have access to a good standard computer in order to be able to participate online. We do not provide the Photoshop software, so you need to have a Photoshop Adobe licence.

What you will learn

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, questions and answer sessions and practical exercises.

What will you need to bring
You need to have a Photoshop Adobe licence. You will need a good speed computer and fast internet connection. You cannot undertake this with a smart phone or Ipad, you must have a computer.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical activities, workbooks, group and pair activities and presentations.

You can progress onto the Intermediate course.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
