Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in learning how to edit video using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning. You also need to be able to use a computer effectively and have access to a good standard computer in order to be able to participate online. We do not provide the Photoshop software, so you need to have a Premiere Pro Adobe licence.

What you will learn
Key Learning Areas: - Set up Premiere Pro, create projects, and organize media efficiently. - Learn essential editing techniques, including cutting, trimming, and arranging clips on the timeline. - Adjust volume levels, add background music, and apply keyframes for smooth transitions. - Apply video transitions, basic effects, color corrections, and create professional titles. - Understand codecs, frame rates, and export settings for social media and other platforms.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentation, demonstrations, group discussion, question and answer sessions and practial exercises.

What will you need to bring
You need to have a Premiere Pro Adobe licence. You will need a good speed computer and fast internet connection. You cannot undertake this with a smart phone or Ipad, you must have a computer.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical exercises, presentations, group and pair activities and the completion of workbooks.

You can progress onto the Intermediate course.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
