Description
This FREE and engaging introductory course will prepare you for studying the Level 1 Award in Photography. Meet your teacher and fellow learners whilst exploring some of the basic concepts involved in Photography.
Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interesting in undertaking a Level 1 Qualification in Photography, which this course prepares you for.
Entry Requirements
You need at least a Level 1 qualification In Maths and English. If you do not possess these, your English needs to be of a good standard. You must bring a smartphone that has a camera or a DSLR camera to this introduction.
What you will learn
You will learn if the Level 1 Qualification is appropriate for you at this present time. Along with this, you will learn the basics of photographic composition, including the Rule of Thirds and the use of leading lines.
How you will learn
You will learn via practical exercises, presentations, group and pair activities and the completion of workbooks.
What will you need to bring
A smartphone with camera capability or if you have a more advanced camera, please bring this with you. You will also need a notepad and a pen.

You will be assessed via practical exercises, presentations, group and pair activities and the completion of workbooks.
Where next?
If the course is right for you at the present time, you can progress onto the Level 1 in Photography.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
