Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in earning a qualification in Web Design, whether for personal or professional development.

Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introduction to Web Design. You need at least a Level 1 qualification In Maths and English. You also need to be able to use a computer effectively and have access to a good standard computer in order to be able to participate online, using the required software.

What you will learn
The course will offer you the ability to use Wordpress to plan design and build websites. You learn about the principles of web design, using elements such as composition and visual hierarchy, and learn about how you can create the most effective form of Throughout this course, you will: - Work with WordPress to create your website. - Learn the basics of website structure, layout, and navigation. - Develop skills in HTML and CSS for building and styling web pages. - Understand key design principles, including usability and accessibility. - Gain hands-on experience in creating and testing web pages.

How you will learn
You will learn via practical exercises, presentations, group and pair activities and the completion of workbooks.

What will you need to bring
You will need a good speed computer and fast internet connection. You cannot undertake this with a smart phone or Ipad, you must have a computer.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical activities, workbooks, group and pair activities, and presentations.

Where next?
You can progress onto the Level 2 in Web Design at the college.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
