This beginner-friendly course introduces you to the essential skills, tools, and techniques used in the industry, helping you bring your creative ideas to life.
Throughout this course, you will:
- Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to design and complet your projects.
- Learn the principles of graphic design, including composition, color, and typography.
- Develop skills using digital and traditional design techniques.
- Explore industry-standard software and creative tools.
- Create your own design projects and build a portfolio of work.

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wishes to earn a Graphic Design qualification, either for professional development or for hobby purposes.

Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introduction to Graphic Design. You need at least a Level 1 qualification In Maths and English. You also need to be able to use a computer effectively and have access to a good standard computer in order to be able to partiipate online, using the required software.

What you will learn
This qualification is designed for learners who want an introduction to graphic design that includes a vocational and project-based element. The qualification will appeal to learners who wish to pursue a career in the graphic design sector or progress onto further study. You will learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to a good standard, and you will be provided with access to this software for the duration of the course. Throughout this course, you will: - Learn how to use Adobe Illustrator to design and complet your projects. - Learn the principles of graphic design, including composition, color, and typography. - Develop skills using digital and traditional design techniques. - Explore industry-standard software and creative tools. - Create your own design projects and build a portfolio of work. Start your journey in graphic design and turn your ideas into eye-catching visuals.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, questions and answer sessions and practical exercises.

What will you need to bring
You will need a good speed computer and fast internet connection. You cannot undertake this with a smart phone or Ipad, you must have a computer.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical activities, workbooks, group and pair activities and presentations.

Where next?
You can progress onto Graphic Design Level 2, or you can undertake other creative subjects at the college, such as Web Design or Video Production.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
