What you will learn
This Level 1 qualification covers a range of skills and relevant supporting knowledge to help prepare students for applying numbers in business and working in a business environment. It will give students an understanding of how different organisations operate, how to contribute effectively in the workplace, how businesses process sales and purchases, and the documents and procedures associated with this. Students will also be equipped with the basic numerical skills needed in the workplace, such as decimals, percentages and fractions, and applying proportions and ratios.
Throughout this course, you will:

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.
What will you need to bring
You will need a good speed computer and fast internet connection.
You cannot undertake this with a smart phone or Ipad, you must have a computer.
How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via practical activities, workbooks, group and pair activities and presentations.

You can undertake further learning within the area of business and finance, such as Bookkeeping.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
