Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who is interested in learning how to undertake basic alterations and repairs for clothing and other fabric-based products.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning.
What you will learn
You will focus on clothing items that may be too big, long, or short, learning how to make simple alterations and repairs to your garments. This is especially useful for parents with children who need to adjust school trousers or other clothing. You will need to bring in your own item for alteration to work on during the course.

You will learn via presentations, practical activities, workbooks, group and paired activities and group discussions.

A notepad and a pen.

You can be referred to other creative qualifications at the college, such as Floristry and Graphic Design.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
