This course is for anyone who is interested in sustainable sewing practices.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Entry Level 3 to get the most out of your learning.
What you will learn
You will learn how to repurpose and use existing textile items you have at home. The course will have a particular focus on creating reusable period pads as one of the projects, emphasizing sustainability and creativity in transforming materials.
How you will learn
You will learn via presentations, practical activities, workbooks, group and paired activities and group discussions.
What will you need to bring
A notepad and a pen.

You will be assessed via practical activities and workbooks.
Where next?
You can be referred to other creative qualifications at the college, such as Floristry and Graphic Design.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
