Description

This qualification is designed to provide you with the knowledge and understanding required to successfully lead a team. It is suitable for individuals who are aspiring to or are currently in team leading roles across various sectors.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Develop knowledge of the principles of team leading.
- Understand business operations and structures.
- Enhance communication skills with a range of stakeholders at different levels.  

Who is this course for?
Leadership takes many forms, and a good leader can be an influence for a lifetime. This online Level 2 Team Leader course aims to equip you with the skills and confidence to lead effectively and tackle common challenges in people management. You will learn the principles of team leading, how to use different styles of leadership to enhance your team's performance, and how to motivate team members to get the best out of them. This is an online self-study course supported by fortnightly workshops with a tutor, held online. Learners will have individual start and end dates. A pre-course interview is required.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, you will need to be able to read and write in English at Level 1 or above to get the most out of your learning. Please attend a pre-course interview so that we can identify which course would be the most appropriate starting level for you.

What you will learn
You will learn the principles of team leading, how to use different styles of leadership to enhance your team’s performance, and how to motivate team members to get the best out of them.

How you will learn
Whilist this is a self-study course, you will meet with your teacher each fortnight to check your porgression and meet with other learners on your course. These sessions will be held online using Teams. You will be provided with e-learning lessons and resources that you can access remotely.

What will you need to bring
We will provide e-resources for your course through an online learning platform. You will need access to a computer and reliable internet access. Please contact us for details of how we can help to support you if you do not have access to a computer or the internet.

How you will be assessed
Within the qualification, there are a number of units to be completed. At the end of each unit, you will submit answers to pre-set questions that relate closely to the learning.

Once you have completed the qualificiation, we'll support you in your next steps. We will offer helpful information, advice, and guidance to point you toward other courses that match your goals and interests. Other courses include a Certificate in Lean Organisation.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
