Who is this course for?
The course is suitable for those who do not have the digital skills that are typically required for life and work. This course enables you to develop your skills using Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an introductory level.

Please attend a pre-course interview so that we can identify which course would be the most appropriate starting level for you.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.
What will you need to bring
We will provide handouts and resources for your course. You will need to have pen and paper for additional notes, and you would benefit from having a memory (USB) stick to save your work on.
How you will be assessed
There will be an online exam at the end of the course.
Where next?
The next progression step would be to enrol onto ICDL Level 2.
What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
