Description

Build your confidence in the digital world with the Essential Digital Skills Entry Level 3 qualification. Designed for beginners, this course will equip you with the practical skills needed for everyday digital tasks, helping you navigate technology with ease at home, work, or in daily life.
Throughout this course, you will:
- Learn how to use devices, apps, and the internet safely and effectively.
- Develop essential skills for online communication and searching for information.
- Understand how to manage and protect personal data online.
- Gain confidence in using digital tools for work, learning, and daily tasks.
- Learn basic Microsoft Word skills.  

Who is this course for?
The course is suitable for those who do not have the basic digital skills that are typically required for life and work.

Entry Requirements
Knowledge of using a mouse and basic computer literacy would be beneficial. If you are a complete beginner, we would recommend our beginners courses. Please attend a pre-course interview so that we can identify which course would be the most appropriate starting level for you.

What you will learn
Throughout this course, you will: - Learn how to use devices, apps, and the internet safely and effectively. - Develop essential skills for online communication and searching for information. - Understand how to manage and protect personal data online. - Gain confidence in using digital tools for work, learning, and daily tasks. - Learn basic Microsoft Word skills.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

What will you need to bring
We will provide handouts and resources for your course. You will need to have pen and paper for additional notes, and you would benefit from having a memory (USB) stick to save your work on.

How you will be assessed
There will be an online exam at the end of the course.

Where next?
The next progression step would be to enrol onto Essential Digital Skills Level 1 or ICDL Level 2.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
