Description

Advance your career in childcare with the Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector (Early Years Educator). This comprehensive course equips you with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience needed to work confidently in early years settings, supporting children from birth to five years old.
Throughout this course, you will:
- Gain in-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and health & safety.
- Learn how to create engaging learning environments and support play-based learning.
- Develop communication, leadership, and teamwork skills essential for early years practice.
- Complete a minimum of 300 work placement hours, applying your learning in real-world settings.
This qualification meets the Department for Education's Early Years Educator (DfE EYE) criteria, preparing you for roles such as Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or Pre-School Leader.  

Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for learners preparing to become early years educators.

Entry Requirements
This qualification requires learners to complete a mandatory work/industry placement experience throughout the duration of the qualification, before certification. The total number of mandatory work placement hours is a minimum of 300 hours; however, it is recommended that learners undertake 350 hours where possible.

Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

How you will be assessed
This qualification will be internally assessed using a range of methods including observations in the workplace to capture skills outcomes, and written evidence highlighting knowledge outcomes and understanding of the topics through tasks set by the tutors.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
