Who is this course for?
This introduction to cybersecurity is suitable for anyone wishing to learn cybersecurity practices for the first time. No previous experience is required.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements to join this course, just an interest in cybersecurity and the fundamental protective measures essential for maintaining cybersecurity.

What you will learn
The Level 1 Award in Cybersecurity aims to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of fundamental protective measures essential for maintaining cybersecurity. Topics covered include principles of vulnerability and penetration testing, as well as user access control strategies. This course is designed to provide a foundational knowledge base in cybersecurity practices essential for various professional contexts.

How you will learn
You will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

What will you need to bring
Pen and notebook.

How you will be assessed
The qualifications is achieved by successfully meeting the assessment criteria. You will produce a portfoilio of evidence (your work) that is assessed by your tutor and the awarding body.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
