This digital skills course is for beginners or those who need to refresh their skills and build confidence before moving onto the next level.

What you will learn
This beginner-friendly course is designed to help you develop essential digital skills for everyday life. Over two sessions, you will learn how to confidently use a computer, navigate the internet, and complete basic tasks such as using a keyboard and mouse, opening applications, and conducting simple online searches. The course also covers key topics like internet safety, password security, and an introduction to browser functions. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and explore the digital world!

How you will learn
You will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

What will you need to bring
Pen and notebook.

How you will be assessed
Your tutor will provide valuable development feedback throughout the course to ensure that you have a sound understanding and the practicial digital skills to enable you to progress to the next level of learning. There are no end of course exams.

The next progression step would be Essential Digial Skills Entry Level 3.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
