Description
The Introduction to Programming course aims to impart learners with foundational knowledge of computer programming principles, enabling them to grasp the fundamental workings of programming. Participants will acquire skills in graphic-based programming, empowering them to design and create their own computer programs.
Who is this course for?
This introduction to programming is suitable for anyone wishing to learn programming for the first time. No previous experience is required.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements to join this course, just an interest in programming and learning something new!
What you will learn
During the course you will learn the basic principles of programming, be able to design a simple computer program, be able to develop a program using a graphic-based programming language and be able to test, document and review the program.
How you will learn
You will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.
What will you need to bring
Pen and notebook.
How you will be assessed
The qualifications is achieved by successfully meeting the assessment criteria. You will produce a portfoilio of evidence (your work) that is assessed by your tutor and the awarding body.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
