Description

The Level 3 Diploma for Working in the Early Years Sector qualification prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. A placement is required (hours vary per year group) to undertake this qualification, and GCSE English C or above (or equivalent) is required.  

Who is this course for?
This qualification is designed for learners preparing to become early years educators.

Entry Requirements
This qualification requires learners to complete a mandatory work/industry placement experience throughout the duration of the qualification, before certification. The total number of mandatory work placement hours is a minimum of 300 hours; however, it is recommended that learners undertake 350 hours where possible.

What you will learn
The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to become early years educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to five years and gain knowledge of children aged five to seven years. Upon achievement of this qualification, it is intended that learners will be able to enter the workforce as early years educators.

How you will learn
Learners will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

The assessment for the qualification is an internally assessed and externally quality assured portfolio of evidence.

You can progress into further education or higher education degrees.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
