Description

Unlock your creativity and begin to master the art of cake decorating. Learn professional cake covering, icing, and modeling techniques using industry-standard equipment. Whether you're aspiring to a career in the field or just looking to enjoy the creative process, this course will equip you with essential skills and a passion for beautiful cakes.  

Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to earn a qualification in Sugarcraft.

Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introduction to Sugarcraft course. You also need to have a good level of English and Maths.

What you will learn
You will plan, produce and reflect upon your own cake decoration craft work, using the tools, materials and equipment required to produce a craft item whilst maintaining a safe working environment. Learners will have the opportunity to display their finished piece in an appropriate way or setting for others to see.

How you will learn
You will learn by demonstrations, presentations, workbooks, practical activities and the construction of a portfolio, including written work.

What will you need to bring
A notepad and a pen.

How you will be assessed
You will be assessed via observations, practical activities and the construction of a portfolio, including written work.

Where next?
You can be referred to other creative qualifications at the college, such as Floristry and Graphic Design.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
