Curious about sugarcraft but not sure where to start? Come along and have a go at creating your own cake decoration using sugarpaste. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you'll learn some of the basic techniques used in sugarcraft, including how to colour, roll and cut sugarpaste, before creating a simple decorative piece of your own. You'll have the opportunity to experiment with different shapes, cutters and simple decorating techniques, and you'll take your finished creation home at the end of the session.

You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different shapes, cutters and simple decorating techniques, and you’ll take your finished creation home at the end of the session. No previous experience is needed - just come along and have a go!
Entry Requirements
There are no minimum entry requirements for this course.
What you will learn
You will learn how to:
- Work with and colour sugarpaste
- Roll and prepare sugarpaste
- Use cutters to create simple shapes
- Combine shapes and colours to create a cake decoration
- Add simple decorative details

You will gain knowledge via presentations, demonstrations, group discussions, question and answer sessions and practical exercises.

Sugarpaste and equipment will be provided. Your finished sugarcraft decoration is yours to take home.

Your tutor will provide valuable development feedback throughout the session.

You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
