Who is this course for?
This course is for anyone who wants to earn a qualification in Sugarcraft.

Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the Introduction to Sugarcraft course. You also need to have at least a Level 1 Qualification in Maths or English. If you do not possess these, your English and Maths needs to be of a good standard.

What you will learn
You will plan, produce and reflect upon your own cake decoration craft work, using the tools, materials and equipment required to produce a craft itemwhilst maintaining a safe working environment. Learners will have the opportunity to display their fini Throughout this course, you will: - Learn basic cake decoration techniques such as icing, piping, and fondant work - Explore the tools and materials used in cake decoration - Develop skills to create beautifully decorated cakes for special occasions - Gain confidence in working with different decorative styles and techniques

You will learn by demonstrations, presentations, workbooks, practical activities and the construction of a portfolio, including written work.

A notepad and a pen.

You can be referred to other creative qualifications at the college, such as Floristry and Graphic Design.

What we expect from you
You are required to attend every session. The minimum required attendance for this course is 85%. Anything below this attendance will be reviewed by the Curriculum Development Manager and you may be withdrawn from the course and the outstanding course fees will still be payable.
