Description
Between the Lines: Reading as a Writer
A 2.5-hour creative reading and writing workshop for adults (19+)
Ever wondered how great writers make their words sing? In this practical and inspiring workshop, you'll learn to read like a writer uncovering the hidden techniques that bring stories and poems to life.
Together, we'll explore a short literary text, noticing how writers use rhythm, metaphor, dialogue, and structure to create impact. Then, you'll experiment with these techniques in your own short piece of creative writing.
This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves reading, wants to develop their writing style, or simply enjoys discovering how language works its magic. No prior experience required — just curiosity and an open mind!
Who is this course for?
Our English Creative Writing Workshops are interactive, standalone sessions designed to inspire creativity, strengthen communication skills, and build confidence in writing. Each 2.5-hour workshop focuses on a different theme from persuasive writing and reading as a writer to exploring language and identity. The workshops offer practical tools and creative techniques you can use right away.
You can attend one workshop or several as each session is complete in itself.
